Spherical Roller Bearing, Cylindrical Bore – Type TC

Spherical roller insert for machined journal seating

Double row spherical roller insert with a cylindrical bore for shafts machined to a direct fit on the inner ring. Selected when the journal is already prepared for a cylindrical seat - typical on OEM machinery and gearboxes where the shaft geometry, not an adapter, defines the mounting interface.

Radial capacity, self-alignment, and shock tolerance match the spherical roller family - the difference is in how the inner ring seats on the shaft, not in the external sealing or housing interface. (Internal code: Type TC.)

Typical applications and selection guidance

Choose this insert when:

  • Shaft journal is already machined to a cylindrical fit
  • OEM machinery, gearboxes, and process drives with prepared shaft geometry
  • High radial loads with the need for self-alignment under shaft deflection

Consider an alternative when: shafts use taper or adapter-sleeve mounting (compare tapered-bore or adapter variants), or when set-screw locking is preferred for serviceability on stock shafting.

Confirm the shaft tolerance and bore-fit class for the selected size in the configurator.

Load and speed per SKU

The table lists each active catalogue SKU for this insert type with radial load, axial load, and maximum speed as defined for that exact unit (housing variant, seals, and size included). Use the search box to filter by SKU fragment, or open the product page for the full datasheet. You can also browse all options in the product configurator.
