Tapered Roller Bearing, Adjustable – Type KUA

Tapered roller insert with adjustable axial setting

Tapered roller bearing insert with adapter-sleeve mounting and adjustable axial setting - extends the Type KU concept with the ability to set internal clearance or preload per the engineering procedure for the application. Required where bearing life and stiffness depend on a specific axial setting, such as gearbox input shafts, precision drives, and high-thrust mixers.

The AISI 316 stainless housing and seal system are unchanged from the standard tapered roller variant; the letter only distinguishes the inner assembly and the adjustment behaviour. (Internal code: Type KUA.)

Load and speed per SKU

The table lists each active catalogue SKU for this insert type with radial load, axial load, and maximum speed as defined for that exact unit (housing variant, seals, and size included). Use the search box to filter by SKU fragment, or open the product page for the full datasheet. You can also browse all options in the product configurator.

Interactive table: load and speed per SKU for insert type KUA (see live article page).

KU vs KUA selection Specify KUA when the engineering package explicitly calls for an adjustable axial setting (clearance or preload). For standard adapter-sleeve mounting without that requirement, Type KU is usually sufficient - confirm against product data for the size.
