Consider an alternative when: axial clearance must be set or preloaded per procedure (compare the adjustable variant), or when self-alignment under shaft deflection is the priority over thrust capacity (look at the spherical roller variants).

Mounting: adapter-sleeve assembly is sensitive to correct seating and nut torque. Follow the mounting guide for the size and confirm the sleeve travels evenly during drive-up - improper seating reduces load capacity and generates heat.
