Single row ball bearing insert for higher speed and lower friction

Single row deep-groove ball bearing insert with set-screw locking. Selected when the duty calls for higher speeds, lower friction, and cooler operation than spherical roller solutions, with moderate radial load requirements. The set-screw locking allows fast assembly and in-place service on standard shafting.

Mounted in fully sealed AISI 316 stainless housings with the same washdown, marine, and corrosion-resistant performance as heavier insert types in the range. (Internal code: Type KV.)

Typical applications and selection guidance

Choose this insert when:

• Operating speed is high and continuous radial load is moderate
• Lower friction and cooler running are priorities (energy-efficient drives)
• Fans, pumps, light conveyors, packaging lines, and auxiliary drives
• Quick assembly and in-place serviceability on standard shafting

Consider an alternative when: radial load, shock load, or shaft misalignment exceed ball-insert ratings for the size (move to a spherical roller variant), or when set-screw access is blocked from the standard side (compare the reversed-lock variant).
